Challenge
Paysafe needed a trusted way to monitor payment quality across noisy authorization events, processor routing, bank handoffs, card networks, and merchant portfolios while separating real product issues from incomplete source data.
Approach
Built a Python and SQL ETL workflow that standardized portfolio extracts, created processing flags, checked source completeness, and prepared a Tableau-ready quality layer.
Impact
Delivered a live Tableau dashboard that helped leaders inspect and manage payment quality by card network, bank, CRM vendor, MCC, transaction size, CVV behavior, decline behavior, and conversion quality.
System context
Payment telemetry behaves like a live system, not a static report.
A card purchase triggers authorization messages, fraud checks, processor routing, acquiring-bank handoffs, card-network routing, issuer responses, clearing, and settlement. The processing code made those handoffs observable by standardizing source data, validating completeness, creating lifecycle flags, and feeding a Tableau quality layer.
